Question: at the same time i decided to stop my birthcontrol shots, i found out i am type 2. when your about to get your period or are on your period, does your blood sugar drop or raise? im starting to get signs of getting my period again. its been several years since ive had one casue i was on that shot for 8 years. yesterday when i tested my blood sugar it seemed low all day no matter what i ate or did.

usually your blood sugar levels decline with your period due to the loss of blood which makes you sluggish etc.
try to eat a sandwich or banana and see what the bsl reads.
fruit is ideal for increasing your sugar levels, due to the natural sugars.
try taking it 3 times a day, half hour before you eat
