Do you or would you find it embarrassing going to the Doctor because of a period!

Question: I do!!

Answers: I do!!

You shouldn't be embarrassed. A women spends 1/4 of her life menstruating. She shouldn't suffer in silence if she has a problem. Life is too darned short.

yes it is just wierd! lol

No, get used to it. Its going to happen for a long time.

No i wouldnt find it embarrasing because thats there job and they wont judge you for it.Dont feel embarrassed theres nothing to be embarrassed about.

Ehh its kind of embarrasing but when you think about it it really isn't that bad. They're used to it and trust me, they've seen muuuchhh worse and much wierder stuff haha

no, why would I? it's the doctors JOB to help you with medical problems, if he or she didn't want to hear about your period then they shouldn't have become a doctor.

definatly not. remember your doctor has heard it all before!!!! They have probably heard or seen the weirdest things and would never b shocked by anything they hear

ya

If you're going to an OB/GYN, the person went to school FOREVER just to be able to help people with exactly the kind of problem you're talking about. Sure, it's strange, but that's what they go to work for every day.

Yes, I've got the gynaecologist for the first time in 8 years tomorrow and am not looking forward to it! As for a regular doctor, it's not too bad, just a bit uncomfortable.

Nothing to be embarrassed about, Dear. That's what they deal with every day.

If you have insurance that doesn't need a referral, go to an OB/GYN. They specialize in your kind of problem.

yush which is exactly why i haven't gone about my missing period... it been completely gone for 8 months now >_<
i supose if you kinda knew your doctor a bit it wouldn't be soo bad ... however i havent seen a doctor in 12 years and i don't even know what my docters name is.

Nope. That's what they're there for.

I've asked about orgasm problems and green diarrhea as well.

You shouldn't be embarassed to speak with your doctor about it. There is probably a way he/she can treat the problem. If your doctor is a male and you are uncomfortable with that then maybe you should find a female ob/gyn to speak to.

Don't let embaressment ever keep you from seeing a doctor if you need to. Besides, whatever your problem is, they've heard and treated it before.
I had a problem with my periods once and went to the doctor, even though i felt a little umcomfortable with it and I sure was glad I did because the doctor really helped me out a lot.
One thing that might help is if you see a woman doctor rather than a man.

No way.. it is something natural that you have to deal with and if you have a period problem i think it would be better to take care of it rather let it be, it is an important thing in a females life maybe you could even find a female doctor to talk to they can be a little more comforting and understanding....

Well of course you might find it embarrassing, but just think. The doctors are doctors because they WANT to help you. They hear that stuff everyday. It can be akward, but they are there to help you, and they have the knowledge for your problems/questions. But if you just absolutly cannot ask a doctor, try talking/asking an adult that you trust. Or even a friend! Also remember if your doctor is a girl, she has probably wondered the same thing you are. Just relax. Good luck!

No, lots of women have problems and it's just a part of life. It's never a fun thing, but try to look at as necessary for you to keep yourself healthy.
