Why does it hurt when i pull out a tampon ? is this normal?!

Question: i just started using tampons yesterday...took me like 7 months to finally get one in (dont ask) and i really dont know how i ever used pads for this long...

well anyway, im on day 2 of my period so my flow is like really heavy. when i pull the tampon out it like..kinda hurts you know? its not UNBEARABLE or anything but it is a little bit of pain for a sec and then as soon as i pull it out its gone. the tampon isnt dry or anything trust me on that one.

well. why does it hurt? and is this normal? has this happened to other people and is it just something ill get used to?

thanks!

It is normal. Dont worry. But since your flow is heavy, you would think to use a super tampon or whatever, but then it gets full and expands pretty big! So what I would do, is wear a slimfit or a regular flow tampon but then just change it more often, like maybe every two to three hours. That way it won't get so big and hurt when you pull it out. Hope this helps!

There is always an amount of discomfort when pulling a tampon out, dry or not.

If possible, use a smaller tampon, like the ones for slim people or whatever. I stick with the low absorbency ones, like regular, since yeah, the super-plus ones hurt a little after they've become enlarged from the absorption.

Your tampon is not dry but your vagina is that is where the discomfort comes.
Try lubricating just the tip of the tampon for a smoother removal.

you're probably just not used to it. pretty soon you wont even feel that.

but yeahhh you would know if it were dry or not.
that is like the WORST pain! omgggg!
its like the cotton stuck to your vagina walls and you have to rip it off like a bandaid off a fresh wound.

ouch.
hahahah.

but yeah, its prob. just because youre not used to it.

Try using a smaller tampon? It feels kinda weird when you take it out. As long as it doesnt hurt when it's in then you should be ok.

the happens to me. the pain has become less as the months go by but at first it hurt sooooo bad.

are u pulling it the opposite way u put it in?u are supposed to.
