I've been blacking out the past few days... what are some possible causes?!

Question: i've been blacking out the past few days. Don't say go to the doctor, because I already have an appointment and i KNOW that the doctor is the only one who can tell me whats wrong. I guess what I really want to know is what are some possibilities for what it might be? basically it happened four times in two days. i feel light headed, cant see, can hear a little but it sounds far away, shaking, sweaty palms, heart races, cant stand.
I dont think i drink enough water, so ive upped that, and i'm a little stressed out... actually a lot stressed out... and i'm on my period... would those cause it?
like i said im going to go to the doctors, i would just like to know if anyone else has had this or if they know what might cause it

Hi! Actually, some of what you describe sounds familiar - minus the blacking out (ouch! that's not good) Anyway.... I have been known to get what I call a "hot flash" from time to time. No, not menopause! My heart rate goes up, cold sweat, very thirsty, craving for fruit, quickly exhausted, dizzy, quick rise in temperature. No diabetes; no one knows why. I know it's more frequent when I'm really tired, and drinking too much caffeine. Also, when I'm very tired for days at a time, my short term memory can go to hell. My quick cure for the "hot flash" is to sit down, breath deep and slow, drink a big glass of cold water (plain water!) and eat an apple. Usually brings me back. You may be having a similar experience to a greater extent. How much sleep have you been getting???
Have you been using anything to keep yourself going when your really tired? It could all be adding up and finally getting to you. Are you a tense person by nature? Do you know how to REALLY relax? Most people don't. I recommend - other than talking to your doctor - a good, professional massage, at least an hour long, at the spa (away from your normal environment). Also try taking a few days away from all your cares - just take the phone off the hook. Get a hotel room - a place with a pool and hot tub. Ask yourself what stresses you out so much. Think calmly, how to deal with it once and for all.
(With a baby coming next week, I can understand stress!)
Maybe your doc will find something medical, but even so, my advice can only help. Sounds like you need rest.

take care

If you wear tampons you need to make sure you change them often. You can get TSS from them i'm sure you know. But those are some symptoms of it. It could just be a mix of dehydration and stress, but it's good that you're going to the doctor. But anyways, just be on the look out for TSS. If you dont wear tampons then don't worry about TSS though. Your symptoms can be from anything that's not really serious or anything to worry about, or something more serious but it's unlikely.

Do you have flashbacks of strange people, lights, and sounds that you cannot explain. Also, if you find your butt hole being sore the next morning, you have been abducted by extraterrestrial beings. What are you wearing? I have also been a victim to the little green men and their probes. All you can do is tell them that you cannot trust anything that bleeds for seven days and does not die. Bang on.

I almost pass out if I get too hot - From exercise and then a shower or just from being in a hot shower too long.

It may be ____ induced high blood pressure.

Let me know what he says - I've managed to avoid passing out so far.
