Getting of the depo...pill question???!
Question: Okay so I have only gotten 1 shot, but already hate it and I think that I want to switch to a pill...should I just tell them when I go back for the next shot at planned parenthood that I want to switch to a pill, or what? Will they just be able to start me on pills right away or do I need to like wait until the shot wears off or something....how will this work?

Well you should call them a month before your next shot and tell them you are not interested in getting it again (good for you!).
I went on the pill one week before my last shot (that I never got) was due. Got my period back in three months. Never had to "wait for your period before taking the pill".
They will be able to start you on b.c. right away, so just tell them next time you go in, or call ahead and make an appt the same day so you can talk with your doctor. Most likely a nurse gives the actual injection, so it actually might be a good idea to make a dr appt.
if you go to your doctor tell him that the injection isint working for you and that you would like to try the pill. usuall when starting the pill for the first time you take the first tablet on the first day of yor period. you have 21 tablets to take one each day then you stop for a week so that you will get your period and go back on it on the 7th day
whoa! i have the same problem! i got the shot in like november...and i had to go back three months later and get the next one...well i finally got a period when it was almost time to go back and get another shot...and it lasted freakin 3 weeks...so i didn't want to do the shot anymore...so i just didn't go back...and i was planning on going back this summer and going on pills again...but you can't do pills until you start your period...and its been like 6 months since i've had a period...and i don't know what to do...so i guess i'm just gonna wait..
