What should I do, doctor help (should I switch) please?!

Question: My husband recently switched jobs and I just found out that my doctor isn't covered under his new insurance. I am very paticular about my doctors (weird I know) but I have finally found a doctor that I am comfortable with and now I have to change. What should I do? Suck it up and change doctors or keep seeing my doctor and just pay more?

your not weird alot of women are particular about there doctors. try some different ones and if you don't like them go back to your doctor if you have the ability to pay more

If you can afford it, stay with your doctor.

I totally understand your point. Do you have an on-going medical condition that your current doc is very knowledgable on? I have PCOS and my first doctor told me for a year I was fine, turns out he mis-understood my blood tests (!).

If this is the case, stick with the original doc as its not worth the stress of finding another decent doc in the area. Would it be worth writing to your husbands new employer and detailing this, they may make an exception - or at least pay 50% of any bills?

If you are rarely ill, it doesn't make much difference who you are registered with as you don't see them too often.
