Has anyone ever taken buspar?!

I take buspar for anxiety, and I think it controls it very well. I mean, it's not perfect because you aren't completely anxiety free because it doesn't make you numb to emotion (I've noticed that with some antidepressants, and I much prefer to have some anxiety.) I didn't have any major side effects aside from a little bit of dizziness the first week, and it took about two weeks to take effect and then I had to raise my dosage a little to get it right (haven't had to since, it seems to maintain well.) I take 7.5 mg twice a day, I think the standard dose is 15 mg twice a day, but I don't think that would make side effects worse. I didn't notice any weight gain with it, except I did the gain the weight back that I lost while having horrible panic attacks because I was afraid to eat. I think it really helped me though. hey! I just got perscribed to buspar, 20 mg a day. I dont think I like it too much so far. The effects arent supposed to take place for a good 2 weeks, but the effects I have noticed so far arent good. The first was the dizziness and having a weird feeling of being emotionally disconnected. It seems that it made my anxiety worse and I am really irritable towards everyone. Different drugs react differently with every individual, so it may work out well for you, Ive heard of people that loved buspar.
