Tampon? Blood... help!?!

Question: Well. I wanted to see if I could get a tampon in, so I practiced. So once I got it in, I took it right back out. Because I'm not actually on my period. So I was happy I got it in with no pain or anything. But when I took it out, there was bright red blood on it! I'm not expecting my period for another week or so. So do you think I damaged something in there to cause it to bleed? Like it was soaked the tip of it. But there's not anymore blood. What could this be.

*Oh, and yes. I know I was stupid for putting a tampon in when I'm not on my period, I just wanted to try.

I don't think you damaged anything when inserting the tampon. You could very well be getting ready to start your period and that is where the blood is coming from. I wouldn't worry to much about it, and your not stupid.

Well, I think u might've torn ur hymen. Are u a virgin? If u are ur hymen was probably intact and u tore it by accident. How long did the bleeding last? Not more than a day? Hymen breakage would be my best answer.

Nothing to worry about at all =]

you most likely were a virgin, not anymore coz you punctured your hymen.

if you've never inserted anything before its possible that it was your hymen. don't worry, it doesn't mean you're not a virgin anymore, just that your hymen isn't intact, most women actually either tear it when they're children or have a hymen that is not mostly closed. with many women it's a thin membrane that "blocks" the entrance to the vagina that needs to be broken sometime. don't worry, you probably didn't damage anything imprtant.

(that you ride a horse doesn't mean that it was broken, just that it could be. have you ever noticed some spots of blood in your underwear after riding? if not you probably did not tear it horseback riding.)

hi you could of put it in to far and you say your due in another week you could be getting some signs of it now you will know in a few days
take care

You probably did tear your hymen. It is consistant with the fact that it only bled for a few seconds, as the hymen has a very rapid healing period.
