Typically there hormones are not the most aligned for excitement. Also, it can be bloody and thus overlubricated. The embarassment can also be a downer. Finally if it is unsafe sex it is even more unsafe because there is blood involved.

There would be blood. I have sex on my period with my fiance. It is normal and it's actually not that gross. Most of my friends do it, it seems as we've gotten older it's less of a taboo. We are in our twenties. Sometimes there is blood and sometimes there isn't - it depends when during the period. Nothing "happens" though.

ACTUALLY, when you have sex on your period, most the time it is the same way as when you go swimming on your period in, your menstrual flow will stop! It will seriously slow down sooo much that it seems like your period is over! But be careful because when your done, it will come back, and it may be very heavy.
its messy but some people say they are their most, ummm, "horney" during their periods. I suggest the shower, and a condom. Or you could use that "instead softcup" thing that just catches the blood and clots instead (get it) of absorbing it all. Will NOT prevent pregnancy but will insure CLEAN period sex.

the only positive ive ever heard of from having sex on your period is if you have an orgasm it can relieve cramps. other then that its just cuz you cant wait 3 to 5 days.

blood goes everywhere... the bed sheets get soaked in blood.. sometimes puss comes out.. and oozes all over... its orange in color and smells like rotten fish... its all the dead tissue from up in there.... its soo nasty...
