Unfortunately, there is no way to really keep your periods regular while trying to conceive. Sometimes irregular periods can be a symptom of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), which is a common form of infertility. However, having irregular periods does not automatically mean you have PCOS (it's just one of many symptoms).

You might want to try charting your basal body temperature. It will be helpful for figuring out if you ovulate, when you ovulate, and how long your luteal (post-ovulatory) phase is. If you are new to temping, try fertilityfriend.com. They have a free online course and lots of other good information about ways to know when you are ovulating. Good luck!
