Tampons.

- They don't make you feel wet, or like you are wearing a diaper.
- You only have to change them every 7 hours.
- I'm athletic, pads suck for sports.
- They are easier to travel with, they are more compact, especially Tampax Compax

Neither.

Pads aren't absorbent enough for my flow, tampons are unhygienic and unsafe. I've used a menstrual cup for 5 years, specifically a Mooncup http://www.mooncup.co.uk I'd never go back to tampons and pads even if you paid me.

Menstrual cups because...

- You can leave them in for up to 12 hours.
- They don't leak at all even on a heavy day.
- Far more hygienic than tampons or pads.
- Not linked to TSS or vaginal infections.
- Not just sanitary but sterile too.
- Have money back guarantees so you can try without risk.
- Saves the 12,000+ tampons/pads in a woman's lifetime.
- You can wear them before your period is due.
- You can wear them overnight & with low flow.
- You can wear them for sports including swimming.
- Cannot be felt at all when inserted.
- Very easy to use, even when first using them.
- Totally internal so nothing shows outside your body.
- Don't have to worry about carrying/buying spares.
- Don't have to worry about disposing of them.
- Don't have to worry about changing in public.
- Don't have to worry about changing absorbency.
- One cup lasts for ten years so far cheaper.
- Environmentally friendly manufacturing
- Body-positive advertising & companies.
- Very good customer service, very personable staff.
- You can get to know your flow & body better.
- Mess-free & Fuss-free to use.

depends what u find is more comfortable
personally i prefer tampons...seems more sanitary cleaner..more comfortable

i say tampons durring the day...cuz i dont feel all wet and icky with them
and use pads at night cuz i dont want to die from toxic shock!!!!

Tampons.
- They feel so much better! Cleaner, and you can't feel them.
- I can actually forget I'm on my period.
- You don't have to change it that often.
- If I didn't use tampons, I wouldn't be able to swim! That would suck since I live in Florida. :)

But pads are more safe I guess. My they are so uncomfortable and smell. So yeah. tampons are wayyyy better.

I hada bad experience with a tampon... it got stuck and i fainted! so i used to wear pads all the time. but since i lost my virginity i dnt find tampons such a big deal cus errr i spose im used to stuff being up there!

sooooo... tampons :)

TAMPONS!
* confident that there is no leakage or problems
* no wetness
* comfortable
* can't feel them
* eliminates my flow for half a day after i use one
* safe like pads if you don't wear them at night
* don't have to change as often
* don't notice you're on your period hardly
* cleaner
* can do all activities
=))

MENSTRUAL CUP!!

I've been using a Divacup for years - http://www.divacup.com

For all the reasons Sprout gives, they are FAR better than tampons and pads, not to mention they aren't as dirty as tampons....in what world is blocking up your vagina so it can't clean itself for hours, with a a wad of material soaked in decomposing blood and tissue full of bacteria considered clean?! O_o

I used to use tampons when I was a kid and had my very first got my period, but when I got older they gave me infections all the time because of all the chemicals in them so I switched to cups. I use mooncups too, best things ever invented! :o)

Pads, cloth pads to be specific *grin*

They are really comfortable, plus they are better for the environment and don't feel so....gross...and uncomfortable as normal pads, normal pads always get all mushed up and make you all sweaty and wet, YUCK! I was thinking about getting a menstrual cup though after seeing the TV adverts for them, now I've seen all the positives about them here I might go for one now.

whoa, like I've never heard of these cup things! hmm, interesting

I use both but prefer tampons.

I like pads because if my flow is really light, a tampon can just irritate me and sometimes I don't feel like sticking cotton up me.

I prefer tampons because they're discreet, I don't feel like an old lady buying them, I can swim with them and for some weird reason they help with my cramps.

For both I've had to try a lot of different brands before finding my favourites which are OB silk ease and Playtex sport for tampons and for pads Kotex makes some nice ones in a cute pink and white package I also like Stayfree because they come with wipes :)

well. i prefer tampons over pads.

1. i used pads for 2 yrs before i decided to switch to tampons and im SO glad i did.
2. i'm active a lot (i play tennis/badmitton/run everyday), and pads are SO uncomfortable. they get all bunched up and it feels like theres a diaper riding up into my vagina...sorry for being graphic lmao but thats how it feels.
3. roller coasters SUCK when you have to wear a pad on them...especially the ones with harnesses hoollyy crappp UNCOMFORTABLE!
4. tampons are discreet and i can wear them for about 5 hours before i have to change them.
5. i DO NOT notice a tampon in me at all! its like i dont even have my period!
6. i can swim on my period :) i also don't have to worry about being on my period during a vacation to florida/cruise/etc because i can just wear a tampon and go swimming anyways!
7. i HATE wearing a pad when im wearing skinny jeans (and i wear really really tight skinny jeans all the time). i dont need a bulky pad to make them even more uncomfy.
8. i can actually move my legs when im wearing a tampon and not worry about it slipping out :) ahh what a breather THAT is.
9. tampons are sooo easy to insert AAAAND idc what anyone says! the only way you can get TSS from tampons is if you leave them in longer than 8 hours ( i personally remove mine after around 4-5 hours to be on teh safe side) but seriously. you're stupid if you leave you're tampon in for like 12 hours! geez! read the directions!
10. tampons are easier to carry around than bulky annoying pads.

=] k im done! hope i helped you out!

Tampons! Same answer as above! Towels/pads are horrible

tampons!!

pads are disgusting..unless you like sitting in your own MESS all day. absolutely hideous.
