Lexapro and birth control?!
Question: I have been taking lexapro for about 10 days, and I have been taking birth control since I have been married. Anyways, I always start on the same day every month like clock work (today) and I haven't started yet. Could I be pregnant, or could the Lexapro be causing the delay? Yesterday I had severe stomach cramps and a massive migraine...yes, I know, the only sure fire way to tell is to take a pregnancy test, but until then...what do you all think?

i took lexapro and birth control at the same time and didn't have any problems. it does not decrease the effectiveness of the pill. however, the lexapro made me lose weight. has it done that to you? because that could off set your period. and everyone reacts differently to medication, so your body may just be adjusting to the lexapro still and causing your period to be late. take a test to be sure, but i'm sure you're fine. oh, and lexapro can also really upset your stomach - could be the cause of your severe stomach cramps.
