How likely is it to ovulate on the pill?!

Question: I have been on my 7 day pill break ending today.
I take Fencom FE. I swear I ovulated about 3 days ago. I had the typical middle pain like when I am off BC and my cervix was high soft and open. I had no withdrawal bleed. Because I take my pills correctly I should still be okay right?

Oh yeah I have been on antibiotics for a stomach bug, 2 types equal to 5000mg a day, but I was told that there is no research to prove it messes with BC so I was told I would be fine.

I am more curious as to people who know they ovulated on BC and it still was effective in preventing pregnancy.

For some women, antibiotics have no effect on bc. For other women, it does. Every woman's body is different. I don't know who told you that the pill is still 100% effective while on antibiotics, because there's simply no way of knowing. I have been on the pill for 5 years. My doctor and pharmasist have both told me to use a back up method (ex. condoms) while taking antibiotics. There's been a couple times when I haven't used a back up method, and I did not get pregnant. But, my friend who was on bc, did get pregnant while taking antibiotics. I've never been able to tell if I'm ovulating or not, so I can't help with that.

Since pills are only 99%, there is a chance, however slim, that you could ovulate.

Also, the effectiveness is lessened on antibiotics.

So just remember any time you have sex, you can get pregnant.
