Mindol isn't good for cramps anyway, heat pads are also only one idea - cold can work too, if you just get some frozen peas, wrap them in a tea towel and try putting that on your stomach instead. Stretching will help you as well, go do some simple stretching excersises to ease up your back and stomach that will help with cramps - very important is to breath deeply, concentrate on your breathing as this will relax you so ease the pain. If you're using tampons then remove it now, tampons increase period pains because as well as being very bad for vaginal health they expand adding to bloating and hitting your cervix. Take a look for any camomile tea, if not then just drink lots and lots of water. If you have any banannas or strawberries they will help too.

It's not so much about easing menstrual cramps as actually preventing them all together, or at least stop them when they do happen, contrary to popular belief menstrual cramps are not a necessary part of being a woman. You may want to get yourself some clary sage for next time, this is a type of essential oil that you rub on your stomach, works much better than painkillers, another idea would be getting herbal teas such as rasberry leaf, yarrow, red raspberry, wild strawberry, or camomile. Watching your diet makes a big difference too, so lots of healthy foods, avoid dairy, soya and red meats.
