When can you get in the pool after a c-section?!
Question: I'm scheduled for May 1 and wonder if I can get in the swimming pool when it opens on Memorial Day weekend. Obviously I'm not planning on doing any dives or Olympic laps. I would mainly like to know if the water or the chemicals in the water would hurt my incision. If you've had a c-section during the summer or late spring, how soon did you get in the pool afterwards?

hmmm....i'd wait until the bandages come off, and the incision doesn't look like a 3rd degree burn anymore.....i had one in october and it was about 6 weeks before i could tolerate a lot of water on it...like a long bath. good luck ;)
The ONLY person you should be asking this is your doctor.
I for one would not go into a pool for at least two months, to ensure any incisions are closed (if they are not closed, and you go into chlorinated water, you will get an infection).
