Hormones acting up at age 29, what is happening?!

Question: I'm 29 years old, and fairly healthy. For a little over a month, I have had sudden and surprising acne pop up on my back. I had my period about 2-1/2 weeks ago, and started spotting about 1-1/2 weeks later. I'm still spotting very lightly. I am not on birth control, so I know that is not what is doing this to me. Now, for the last two days I have been extremely tired and had headaches and gas. This is obviously something hormonal, and while I think I should go to the doctor if it continues for too long- I can't help but be anxious now. I tend to be one of those people though who makes a dr. appointment and by the time I get there, it's all cleared up and I feel like a fool. I just want to feel safe that this isn't something horrible that I'm putting off.

It does in fact sound like your hormones are out of wack and stress can cause the symptoms that you have described, if you don't want to be on birth control pills which would help a great deal in adjusting your hormone levels and keeping your menstruation regular, you might want to have your thyroid checked, change your diet by adding more fruits and vegetables and if you smoke you should quit now because it really does effect women's hormone levels.

I have gone through exactly what you are describing and it took my hair to start falling out which is also a side effect of hormonol problems and stress to get me to go to a Dr.

I'm fantastic now and you will be too.

women reach there sexual peak at age 30, so maybe it has something to do with that?

well first of all let me tell you that the pill improves your hormones and makes your skin look 100 times better.
i started the pill 2 years ago at 28y.o. and my skin on my face is unbelievably beautiful.

also dont feel like a fool for going to the doctor. im sure that its advice will help you either for this time or next time if reoccurs.

Possibly pregnant? In any case a visit to the doctor when you have concerns is appropriate. Or just call and describe your symptoms and ask whether you should come in. When you ask, they usually say come in.
