Need some advice about not getting a period for months at a time.?!
Question: I am 21. i didn't get my period until I was 18. I haven't had a period in months and it seems the only way to have one is to be on the pill. But the pill makes me crazy! It messes with my hormones too much and causes me to be mean, gain weight and breakout. Once I went 8 months with no period at all. I dont have a HUGE amount of stress in my life but I am on the skinny side.i dont think Im skinny enough to stop my period though. if I dont have a period does that mean I may not be able to have kids? My Doctor told me everything looked good and normal. But are my eggs still dropping if I dont have a period? is their anyway to get one without having to go on the pill??

I had the same problem you did, my periods were strange and they could come at any time. It got better when my gyno put me on Yasmin (NOT Yaz)--this BC is different, you don't really gain weight as you would on the other pills, the hormone in Yasmine actually balances everything else out and you start to lose weight (albeit, not much--but you're not gaining it). Talk to your gyno about Yasmin

if i was u i would go to the doctor the day that ur period is suppose come and tell what is going on
maybe from being on the pill then gettin off messed ur cycle up even more than it already was...from gettin off the pill it has messed mine up.and its been 2 years and ive gone 6 months, 3 months and 10 months w/o having a period i jus get mine randomly..and my doc dont know y.
i have been worried about not being able to have kids as well but my doc doesnt really tell me anyhting
