Anyone out there have pcos?!
Question: I am pretty sure I have pcos and I am waiting on a blood test to give me results, anyhow, what type of medicine do they give you. I have a weight gain issue tied to the disease, do they give you anything to aid in weight loss?

With the PCOS you are likely to have a hard time processing sugars, so quitting the cards should help - not all of them of course, but watching the intake of breads and sweets as well as sugary sodas. You seem like a smart girl, I am sure you are already doing that ;)
I have PCOS and unfortunately they don't give you anything to lose weight otherwise I would be on it now..ll my doctor gave me was information on it and put me on the pill. I mean feel free to ask to be put on some diet pill but I highly doubt that it will happen! PCOS is not something to worry about...not at all..my baby sister has PCOS also and she is 8 weeks pregnant..so yeah! Its just a syndrome we have that catergorizes us in the medical world!
I was recently diagnosed with pcos my OBGYN gave me a few sites to look at to get some info....
I am Trying to conceive so I am going to be on Clomid, but in my research it looks like birth control and,or... Your doctor may prescribe progesterone (or other hormones)
I don't think the give any thing for wight gain but my Doc. is sending me to see a dietitian
