Does anyone else get cramps in their legs when they have their period?!

Question: For every single period i have had since i was 11 (im 19 now) i get extremely bad cramps in my legs. I don't really know how to explain them, but its not like a cramp you get after running or something, its really painful. They get so bad that i have thrown up from the pain, i get fevers, and like when im in school or working it really effects me cause i just feel like dying lol. I have tried everything to try and manage them, ibruprofen, aleve, different kinds of birth control pills, exercise, baths, heating pads, NOTHING helps them and my doctor doesn't even have any other suggestions. I have never met anyone else that gets cramps in their legs, is it normal to have them there? and does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of them? thanks

YES! THEY HURT SO MUCH! like the top of your thighs right? Anadin Extra is amazing to use. I used that before i went on the pill, BUT Feminax or something like that i forgot what it's called, it's based for period pains, they work within 15-20 minutes. They are really good!
I know how you feel! I used to cry and i never cry haha
Hope all goes well.

Yes in my upper thigh. The left side in particular. My extreme cramps came from the period pain itself. I use to throw up between 10 -20 times the first 2 days. I was placed on anti-nausea pills and 600 mg of ibuprofin at first. I had to eventually take 800mg because the 600 became less effective after some time. I am happy to say that birth control has been a life saver for me... i no longer have killer cramps... Good luck. I hope you find something.

Oh yea I get cramps in my legs and my back. It's terrible and nothing seems to help until my period is over.

It's life, I guess we just have to deal with it best as we can. :-)

Hell yeah. I get them in my legs lower back stomach area. I hate it. I would suggest either midol or some heating pads.

I get them at the top back side of my thighs and my inner thighs. I soak in a hot bath to help them and take pain meds like tylenol etc.

i dont.
but i know my frind does. and she suffers ALOT. she has to leave school when that happens cause she cant handle it.
