You could lose 3-1/2 lbs per week, which is half a pound a day.

YOu will have to be very dedicated.

First, drink a lot of water. Second, don't eat after dinner, and eat a light dinner. Start eating low-fat cottage cheese, which is a great diet food. It's only 400 calories per pound. Eat one pound a day, a few bites at a time. Cut up raw veggies and eat them during the day. Celery, peppers, cabbage, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower...Eat this when ever you are hungry and chase it with water.

You can get a lot of nutrition for few calories if you stick to lean protein, such as cottage cheese, chicken breast, fish...

And stick with veggies. Avoid starches, such as pasta, rice and bread. Eat fruit in the morning, such as pineapple with cottage cheese, or grapefruit. You can add wheat germ to the cottage cheese to make it more nutritious as well, only a tablespoon or two, it's fattening as well.

Avoid nuts, sodas, and anything processed.

Cut up the veggies all at once so you have them ready, and keep a baggie of them with you all the time.

Make sure to get some exercise every day, even if it's only doing situps (as many as you can, twice a day) walking (at least a mile a day) or push ups (great exercise!)

Weight training is good, it boosts your metabolism as well.

That way, you will lose weight and tone as well. Muscle always looks good, unless to excess. Don't worry about gaining too much muscle. That's a myth...you can't have too much muscle unless you become obsessed with exercise.

I used to put my stairstepper in front of the television...

Also, buy clothes in your new size. This is a great motivator. Put them in front of the closet, and throw away your fat clothes.

You can do it. Keep your eye on the prize.

Impossible without doing harm to your body. The most you can lose safely is 2lbs a week. That is about 22 pounds by your date line.

Talk to your physician to see if there is a safe way. He/she will examine you and may have a better plan including a nutritionist.

I say eat a restricted calorie amount, say like...about 1000-1200 a day if you really wanna drop a few pounds, run EVERY day if you are able to, and make sure you burn at LEAST 400 calories a day if not more. Plus do some sit ups, it'll really burn some fat of your stomach, probably 200 a day if you want then to work within 11 weeks, and most importantly, remember you have to have pain to gain. So push yourself as far as you can go, when you think your about to pass out, push yourself even more, because you'll get farther that way, trust me.

hi megan b, well if u want to lose 45lbs by your prom in 11 weeks i recommend doing the atkins diet & buy yourself a carb counting book so u can count the carbs u eat in a day. u can buy the atkins diet book & carb counting book at barnes & noble or borders & then just follow that diet & u should lose 45 lbs by then. good luck! this diet works cuz i'm on it right now. bb

They best advice that I can give you is to get you heart pumping! Run, swim, etc... anything that elevates your heart (Cardio workout). Thirty minutes 4-5 days a week have your heart going fast, make sure you are sweating! The thirty minutes should not include your warm up/down either. After that, STRETCH! I always stretch first thing in the morning, after I work out, and right before bed. This helps you muscles from bulking up and becoming more lean!

Now, what to eat...
NEVER skip breakfast. Your metabolism needs the jump start in the morning. I find that eating 5-6 small meals a day helps out with portion control. Another good tip is to write everything you eat down (BEFORE YOU EAT IT!) This allows you to see what you are about to eat, and rationally think through if it is worth eating.

Also, getting fit is always easier with an accountability partner!

Good luck, and have fun at prom!

Hun,

It wont be easy. You'll need to be very comitted. You most likely won't reach your goal. Because a healthy rate to lose fat is like 2 pounds a week. thats 22 pounds at maxamium. I hope this helps you and I hope you have a GREAT prom!

Try to watch what you eat. Stay away from fast food. Drink lots of water no soda. Eat as soon as you wake up and jump start your metabilism. Try not to eat after 6pm unless its fruit and water. Do cardio walking, running even dancing in your room ( so you can practice b4 prom ). What ever it takes to get your heart rate going . What ever you do make sure it is healthy. Also Lean Cuisine is great its really tasty and healthy. I hope you have a mermorable time at prom and be safe.
