Life after Depo-Provera?!

Question: Are there any women out there that have taken Depo Provera for at least 2 years or more and then stopped? I was on it for a while, at least 2 years if not more. I stopped in July 2007. I got a period a month or so after that, and since then, I have got nothing. I mean, its still nice to not have a period but I would have thought that by now, I would of returned to normal. My fiance got a vasectomy in June. With our work schedules, and through lack of sheer lazyiness, we never got his semen checked to see if there were any spermies still living. I figure that there is not because I have not gotten pregnant. We really should, I know but we haven't. I guess I am wondering what your experience is since you've been off the depo shot and how long it took you to become "regular" again. Also, lately -- at least the last two weeks, I have had very tender breasts (nipples, mostly). I HIGHLY doubt I could be pregnant, but I don't have any health insurance until my fiance and I get married in Oct.

My doctor told me it could take up to a year after your last shot wears off for your cycle to start getting back to normal.

It took a year after depo for me to get pregnant, and even then I was not getting a normal period, just the occasional spotting

its takes a year or so to get pregant after the depo
