Talk to your doctor and see if he can prescribe you some prescription strength pain relievers for cramps.

pickles =)

Welllll...the bottle of wine *sounds* good, but you might try just one glass instead.

While you're enjoying that, get into a hot tub and soak for a while. This helps when my cramps go nuts on me. I also get a moist heating pad and keep that on my abdomen - I'll lie down in bed and pick up a good book to try and take my mind off of the whole thing.

Oh man, I've tried everything. Drink a lot of water (haha, not vodka) to stay hydrated, try to take it easy...I sometimes use a heating pad. It sounds crazy, but sometimes when I'm cramping really badly, I'll go work out and it helps a lot. Are you on birth control? That actually helped me with my cramps. I also use Midol (for pain control, or something like that...even though I'm sure you've already used this stuff).

i started taking 800 mg ibuprofen from my doctor and putting a heating pad on it. lots of water helps too. caffiene makes it worse. also. when your having the cramps, try your best to straighten your body out. dont get in the fetal position. just kinda breathe through it.

haha i always soak in a hot tub, or lay down with the heating pad and come miadol.

a glass of wine is nice too though

I do yoga and that helps.I also get Vicidin and you can get a script from a obgyn. so I hope that helps

my cramps are intense! i always soak in warm to hot water and i use painatrate. an equivalent to that would be icy hot or bengue. it feels great and i can actually move around while cramping. good luck.

Before you give up on over-the-counter medicine, try Ibuprofen. It works for me. But if not, try putting a heating pad on you stomach, putting pressure about 2 inches below your belly button, or do something to get your mind off of it like watching a movie or reading a book. The more you think about it, the longer it takes them to go away. If you get distracted by something else, you usually don't feel the pain. Good luck.

hahah, no unforunately wine isnt the answer [i only wish it was.]

i have found that drinking lots of water will get things flowing, and relieve your cramps.

Heat helps too, a hot shower can do the trick.

oh and if you lay down, and pull up your knees to your chest [kind of like the fetal position] that will relieve some pressure.

And for some reason, bananas make me feel better when i have menstral cramps. Maybe its because of the potassium. im not sure.

eating sugary/salty foods will only make cramps worse.

=]

herbal tea and a nice hot bath helps me out a lot.

i realized the pain was mostly bloating and ibuprofen 800 mg-at least helps bloating and not laying there in pain helps if i get exercizing like stretching-fast on leg machine etc exercise releases pain endorphins stretching like your trying to lengthen in height makes me better even if i dont feel like doing it, and epsom salt hot baths they sell epsom salt for $3 at drugstores,2 midol menstral pills, certain midol work better than others, no caffeine and blood flow is less if i dont drink much water or anything else besides with my pill during that time of month, its silly but thinking its going to be better is easier on us then dreading it coming ,seems to be mind /body connection, heat pad and a chair back massager works good,or have someone give you a massage, combination of everything - dont know about taking midol with ibuprofen though -dont take ibuprofen and acetaminofen at same time, if i eat less a week before helps too-look on internet theres a cream to apply to area of skin -think its called girl salve? and be stress free and relaxed is easier time too- iheard black cohash pills but havent tried yet
