It's normal for long-term pill use to eventually cause amenorrhea (absence of menses). Given your concern though, you should probably go see your doctor just to make sure and put your worries at rest.

speak to a doctor - there could be a number or reasons;
you could be preg but not picked up by hpt
you could have some reaction to the pills
it could be a number of health issues - we cant really speculate but see a doctor. Are you having your pill free week properly?

get a proper test done at the doctors

Go to your GP!!

Go to your OB-GYN. There could be a problem. Thyroid can play a part as well as stress. I'd seek professional consultation. Good luck, hope all is well!

go to your GP asap. are you putting on weight? are you getting hairier? it could be poly-cystic ovary syndrome.

hey,
There's a lot of reasons why you could be missing periods. Firstly, if your mycrogynon hasn't been a problem for five years, it's unlikely that your problems are due to the pill.

Loss of periods have to do with all sorts of things, stress being the biggest. If you're under a lot of pressure, you haven't been well recently or anything like that, it'll affect you. Even things like shifting from a day to night shift can throw you off for a couple of months. Exercising a lot, rapid weight gain/loss and other body changes could also be causing your problem.

If you're feeling well in yourself you can leave it a bit longer as long as you're sure you're not pregnant. Don't go more than six months with problems though. If you have been feeling rough, go get checked out now. Periods can be a fairly early indicator of things you need to get sorted out.

Hope all goes well for you.

Some pills cause you to have less periods, other cause periods to cease all together. I would definately check with my GYN to make sure that there is no problems with cysts and that sort of thing

I had the same problem.. I went to my doctor and found out that I have PCOS and a low thyroid condition.

Iv been on microgynon 30, and was on it for a while, every now and then you usually miss periods its absolutely nothing to worry about, only if youve vomited, or missed pills, should you consider taking a pregnancy test, otherwise, your not pregnant and its just a hormone thing. Its not serious at all its just your period stops sometimes on the pill.

I would suggest going to see your doctor, after a certain number of years on the pill you are meant to come off for a spell and then you can re start. There could be a thousand reasons not just pregnancy for your lack of periods. But the most simple and logical answer is to speak to someone who actually has a degree in medical science, and not just us losers on the net who think we know it all. best of luck to you x
