Bilateral Tubal Ligation?!
Question: I had a Bilateral tubal ligation on Monday, 3/10/08. i had just had my period the week before and stopped on friday before the surgery. Today and yesterday i have had alot of bright red bleeding. They did the surgery through my belly button and today it was bleeding as well. is this normal? I didn't really know that i was supposed to bleed at all. How long does this last? is something wrong?

OMG girl!!!! and you haven't called your doc yet???? I wouldn't call this normal, but also I wouldn't say it is something to rush to the ER about either. You may have a bit of a blood disorder (slight hemophelia, or something of the like). If you think about it, you have incisions on you skin, causing the bleeding there, and also, they cut your tubes, which would could cause vaginal bleeding as well as internal bleeding (NOT LIKELY, but could potentially be a side effect of surgery). I would call my doc ASAP though to absolutely make sure that I would be ...not just "Okay" but "absolutely fine".
