How can you sleep wen you just cant?!

its hard at first, but once you train your body to get into a regular sleeping pattern you will find it easy. i usually just put a lamp on, watch about 30mins of tv, then read a magazine for about another 30 mins til my eyes are really tired, then turn the lamp off and go to sleep. i find it hard to fall off to sleep so i have to do all this in order for em to unwind and become sleepy. gradually, you should find it easier and will be able to drop straight off.

hmm. try reading untill you become sleepy. This will calm you. If you are under alot of stress, and you have a hard time settling your mind, it may be harder to sleep.

I want to know aswell! I usually sit up ALL night until like 3am till I go to sleep then its really annoying becaus you wake up at 11am, I sometimes just lay in my bed in the dark, I often go to sleep from boredom! Also try the "Radox - good night" pillow spray or take a shower/bath one hour before you go to bed in some lavender shower gel

PS. Or have a hot drink 1 hour before bed, and keep the bedroom cool (your body has to cool down before you can sleep)

A warm bath. Chamomile tea or just trying to unwind after a long day and clear you mind.

Try masturbating. It usually works with guys and gals.

Try Melatonin, you can get it in any vitamin store or drug store. It's a natural chemical that the brain should increase later in the evening to get you to sleep.
Some people can get off schedule and you kind of have to train your brain again.
It never leaves you groggy, my dr recommended it and I love it!!!

Don't go to the bed to stay awake. Physicologically the bed should be a place for 'sleep' if you are having trouble sleeping.
Try not to use the computer, but instead try using a low light and read, something of not high interest or intriguing to tire yourself.
DON'T CLEAN! Cleaning or working keeps the body awake.
Try a relaxing CD and meditate.

Read something extremely boring (like all the fine print in an income tax book).

Make sure that you get out of bed to do this - mentally prepare your head that the bed is for sleeping only, so don't read, watch tv, homework, etc... on it until your sleep patterns return to normal.

iv had sleeping problems for years, done take sleeping tablets unless your desprate, make your room a place for sleeping try and do as little in there as possible apart from sleeping dont do anything to stimulate your mind before sleep like tv and have a night time routeen try not to eat past 8 oclock
