Swollen incision after second C Section?!

Question: I had a c section 4 weeks ago and am still swollen right above my incision. It feels hard and looks like a roll. I am not in a lot of pain. Swelling seems to be larger on days that I am more active but even when I am not active, it doesn't seem to be going down. This is really upsetting me and I didn't have it with my first section. Is this normal and how long will it take to go away?

I had this with both of my sections it feels like a little roll of skin and can be quite numb around the area. Sometimes there are bits at either end of the scars that don't feel even too. This will calm down and go away over time - try something like arnica cream to help reduce the swelling. Also remember at this stage you are still healing in the inside which takes longer.

If it is very angry and weeping you need to get a swab at the doctors to check if there is an infection. You should get a 6 week check up so if you are still concerned ask the doctor.

Enjoy your new baby.

check with your midwife but really you need to allow at least 6 weeks for it to settle down,

Ive a had c-section as well. As you know ,they are serious abdominal surgeries. So its not uncommon for it to flare up on the days you are most active. It hasnt healed yet.
But If you are worried see your midwife.

Have you considered calling your OB? Without more information its hard to guess what it might be, but it could be sign of infection.
Is it hot?

(PS, congrats on the new baby! What did you have?).

Please hurry up and see your doctor - or at least call the office!

why did you have a c section anyway, was it for valid medical reasons or just for vanity (SMALLER HIPS AND ALL)
