Question: what are some reasons my period would be 4 days late with a neg. prego. test? (i know stress is one but i am not stressed out and my period is never late)

You know, I have this problem consistently and myself have been paranoid that I was pregnant but the honest answer is that generally stress IS the main cause for delayed periods but then again, I think psychologically your period can be delayed when you are focusing on it NOT ARRIVING TOO!! That in itself is stressy so will make matters worse. I saw my Doctor about this years ago and he told me that there is no such thing as a NORMAL cycle (of 28 days) and that all women are different and some can go longer between periods but it is normal for them!! Yeah....helpful, as you can imagine! Generally my periods are approx 34 days between though I can go longer even like you when i don't stress.the simple truth is there is no real answer to this and you may just have erratic periods, or the odd late one out of the blue.Don
