Whatever makes you think you may need an injection? Has someone told you this? Please don't be put off having any kind of medical check by scaremongers. You need, for your own sake, and any partners you have to have a health check. All medical personel are non-judgmental, why should they be. On the whole they are kind and understanding and very approachable., if n ot, then they shouldn't be in the job. It will put your mind at rest and they would be able to give you advice how to protect yourself from now on. If you are very anxious, do you have a trusty friend or a relative who would go with you to a clinic? Get the courage up to go along and I know you will feel happier and more confident afterwards. I am a health professional who has grandchildren your age and I would willingly go along with them and support them, book an appointment as soon as poss and good luck, they are there to help you.

dayum...

How did you make sure they had nothing?
Did you ask them?
Of course they'll say they have nothing they want to fcuk you.

Is not an injection, they draw your blood out for STDs
For STIs they open you up and take a swab, it hurts a little, but when you get your test results back you're gonna be oh so glad.
Oh and you can't be too sure that somebody don't have a STI because you asked them.
Oh and 16, a few people without a condom, that is loose, fix up

As far am i'm aware you don't need an injection?
It's just a swab of inside your vagina.
It's best to get checked out incase the men weren't telling the truth.
and use a CONDOM next time!

its not always an injection, sometimes a swob can be taken, the best thing to do is get them to wear a condom, some infections stop fertility or even worse, dont risk you life just for the pleasure of it.

Foolish Girl.

as for asking them, they are not going to yes i have an std are they? why would you need an injection? you may need blood tests and swabs but if you are grown up enough to have sex then you should be ok to go to the clinic, you need to get it done as if you have got anything the longer it's left the more damage it can do

Well, i'm sorry to hear that. Plz get checked out. Know your status now so that you can treat any sti/std early. Don't wait too late. Needles aren't that bad just close your eyes and it will be over before you know it. Good Luck!! p.s. Wrap it Up next time you have sex.

You CAN'T make sure first. Lots of STDs have no obvious symptoms, and unless they presented you with a clean certificate before having sex with you (and let's face it, if they were that responsible, they'd be using a condom anyway) then you have had unsafe, unprotected sex. I don't want to preach to you, but you can do yourself all sorts of harm - and it can screw up you chances of having children later in life too.

You can go to any GUM clinic and you don't even have to give a real name if you don't want to, and yes, they will take a blood sample, but it's not like having an injection, the needle is much smaller, and really, it's not that sore, and is over very quickly. Regardless of whether or not you decide to go, if you're going to be sexually active, you MUST start using condoms from now on - it's the only way to be sure and to protect you, and your partners. Imagine how bad you'd feel if you unknowingly passed something onto someone and you had to contact all your previous partners to explain that you might have infected them?

Being a sixteen year old you still dun understand boys. Of course they would say they have nothing as they only wanna have sex with u. If it was me, i would deny it too. You are not gonna achieve anything or you might even get worse if you have something. So it would be better if you get yourself checked out. Remmember an injection can chage your life forever...

well for starters you should always use a condom no matter what, just because you think they don't have anything doesn't mean they don't, it is harder to tell if a guy has a STD than it is for a girl. Not only that wearing a condom prevents getting pregnant to, so think about that. If I were you I would go check myself out since you are 16 you would want to know what's going on with your body. I don't know what injection you are talking about but usually they take a swab and stick it in you vagina and test that. Good luck!

If your adult enough to have sex, then you should be adult enough to go get yourself checked out & intist that your latest shag wears a condom!

Having an injection should be the least of your worries. Go get yourself off to the STI Clinic asap!

Unfortunately whether you think so or not champ-n you NEVER can be sure that they are clean unless you physically go and get tested with the other person. They may have only slept with one or two other people, but the others that they slept with could have slept with fourty. Get my drift.
Don't be frightened about getting tested, it is fantastic that you are taking a stride forward with your health. My fiance and I just got tested because we want to try for a baby. I was scared as all hell, but then I realised that even if I had of had contracted something, most things can be fixed with treatment. No one thinks your a whore either ya dill!!!

OK!

First, if you were sure they didnt have anything, you wouldnt still want to get checked out would you?

First....men are full of ****. They will tell you anything to get away with not wearing a condom...and I am one and I've been there. Never trust anyone you dont intend to have a full relationship with...and even then only after a while of being with them, and then only if you are not using any other form of contraception.

OK thats the preachy side over with. First, you wont, 9 out of 10, have to have an injection. But it is important to get checked. PID, warts and herpes can all have significant implications to your life when you get older. If you are responsible enough to have sex...be responsible for your health. It's like driving a car without a licence!

Go to your nearest GUM clinic. They are usually really experienced nurses who have heard it all before. It's fully confidential and your folks dont have to know a thing. But dont be scared...be responsible.

Sound like a Advert dont I?!

A small prick from a tiny needle is nothing as compared to what u may have 4 the rest of ur life. There is no way u may have correctly checked out that those men were ok.
Have the test.

You will be more scared if you end up with something serious or pregnant. Take the steps needed to get checked and stay safe. Please look into Gardasil. Most men do not know they are carriers of HPV, as there are generally no signs/symptoms. Plus, there is no way to protect against it- not even condoms. Garasil is the only way, but it will only protect you if you haven't already contracted it. Most women have it or get it at some point, but you need to know to make sure you don't end up with cervical cancer. I don't think you are a whore, but I do think if you are old enough to make the decision to have sex then you are old enough to be responsible about it. Go to a clinic if you need to and be honest about your sexual activity. Tests are quick and painless, the waiting is hard. The sooner you find out, the better. I wouldn't have sex until you get your results, and after that please respect yourself and your body enough to take care of it, and other people. You may not know you're carrying something and pass it on as well.

You won't get an injection as such, you will just get a swab taken from inside your vagina, and possibly a blood sample taken from your arm to do an HIV screen?

Make an appointment at your local sexual health / family planning / GUM clinic, they have usually seen / dealt with a lot worse than you and they are completely discreet, your parents won't need to know a thing. You can give them your mobile number, and they will text you to let you know your results are fine, or call you to ask you to come back for a consultation if they're not... so you don't need to worry about suspicious looking letters being mailed to your home address without your permission.

They will generally ask you a few questions about your health and sexual history, before asking you to go behind a curtain and remove the clothing from your bottom half, and sit on the bed, placing your legs in the "stirrups" provided. They will give you a sheet to lie over your knees so you can maintain some dignity.

When you shout that you are ready, the doctor, (you can request that it's a woman,) will come in and chat to you about what she's doing, to make you feel at ease. She will insert a small device into your vagina to hold it open while she takes samples with what looks like cotton buds! The whole thing lasts about 10 seconds, it's not sore at all, (a little uncomfortable maybe, but not sore,) and it's a very small price to pay for peace of mind.

If you're worried about needles, you can tell them you don't want to give a blood sample for HIV, but it's highly recommended. Think about the pain and fear you might go through in the future if you ignore this now.

what a riddiculous statement to make. you are scared of an injection... hmmm do you have any idea what can happen if you do not get yourself checked??? and why the hell have you not used a condom? do you have a deathwish? and how do you check before hand? do you carry out a blood test on these "few" people before you have sex???

love this is silly! you have no idea whether these people have an std or not! why are you taking the risk!?! i do not think you are a whore but i think you are a fool! you could have chlamydia you could have herpes you could have HIV or worse!!! and all of these are much worse than just doing to the doctors and getting checked! and i dont know what you are talking about having an injection! if you are being tested for std's it is usually a urine sample you give and most antibiotics are in pill format! so dont be so stupid.

and by the way, if you arent mature enough to deal with the situations that can arise from having sex then you cannot be mature enough to have sex at all!!!

slop sleeping with people. Your going to get and spreed STDs!

if your mature enough to go the doctors after having sex with someone to get checked out, your obvioisly not mature enough to be having sex.

obviously they would say they didnt have anything if they just wanted to get into your pants.....your so niave

Sweetheart unless you know the sexual habits really well of the person you make love to you should always insist on him wearing a condom.

Because at 16 six years old the last thing you would probably is to be pregnant, so please make you guy use a condom
