ur razor may be dull...try a brand new one (be careful, they are really sharp!)
and some conditioner.

use shaving cream or baby oil

Take it from a man who's been shaving his face every day for decades:
A thick coating of shaving cream (or gel rubbed into a lather) keeps you from getting razor nicks and burns. Throw the blade out as soon as it no longer feels smooth. And don't use those cheap throw-away razors - they'll cut your legs as much as they'll cut the hairs. Try the lady's Quatro. (The men's version glides like a feather.)
