Early period? Or something else??!

Question: Ok... Ive been on BC to regulate my periods for about 7 months now... switched pills in between and have been on this new BC pill for about 4 months now...

Yesterday I noticed a light pink discharge and tonight Im actually starting to bleed. But, according to my pills I shouldnt be starting my period until next week. I'm a lesbian so there is no chance that I am pregnant.

So, is it just my period coming early??? Or could something be wrong with me??

Dont stress. This happens a lot on the pill, especially when you switch pills. When you switched pills, did you go on a lower dose one or a higher dose one? If you have changed to a lower doseage, it may not be strong enough. If you experience breakthrough bleeding for a few months, requst something stronger. Often the pill perscribed wont be the correct strength. This may not really apply to you, but i had irregular bleeding for years and was told by doctors, "dont worry its normal". i recently saw a doctor that actually cared, and i was informed that i have been ovulating, and this whole time i could've got pregnant. anyway, dont worry, just keep a diary of when leeding occurs, so if it does continue, you can show a doctor. hope this helped, Becki :)

the BC box isnt always right you know

If you've only been on bc for 7 months this is totally normal. Especially since you have changed pills during this time. It is most likely your body "adjusting" itself th the pills in general, much less your body adjusting to a new pill. Breakthrough bleeding is very common. Not only to new bc users, but even if you change pills after several years. Each type of pill carries a different hormone level. This can cause your period to go insane in some cases.

It's probably your period coming early. If you are A lesbian have you thought about having your tubes tied? Sometimes that helps regulate your period.
