You will be fine using tampons as long as you change them regularly. Switch to a small tampon such as regular or light. I'm 30 and the supers hurt me too !

I prefer Tampax or Playtex...either brand is fine.

Super plus are very hard to insert. After you get it halfway up, it has already sucked up all the liquids around and it is too dry to get it any further. You should try a regular or light.

ok, the person hu answered 2nd is wrong,
just use a loser absorbancy tampon, theyre fine!

try a smaller tampon... is such a big tampon really necessary? if you do have a very very heavy flow, i would still suggest using a smaller tampon and changing it more often. I have only ever used normal or mini tampons.

ps. do you know if your hymen is broken? if not, this is what is providing the resistance.

Try to angle it further toward your lower back, that may assist. Try a regular tampon instead of the super plus, you may have to change it more often but the comfort factor is better. Also a different brand might be the key. The different brands have different expansion methods. Tampax which expand sideway or (I forget the name) one that expands into a cone shape.

maybe there the wrong ones or too big, i used tampax once n it hurt i now use lilets there much smaller but just as effective n they are much more comfortable.

Try this... when you get it at least halfway up, try pushing the tampon in WHILE sliding the applicator out. Nice and slow. Time it right and it should work. Might take a little practice to get it right....

sweetie tampons are for ladies who broke there hymen meaning the part that makes it hurt so, wear a pad

First of all, make sure you are standing up straight. I know that's a lot easier said than done but if you are cringing or bending over slightly then it is never going to go in properly, and yes, it will hurt if it's put in incorrectly.

I might also suggest trying to put it in after a shower or bath, especially if it's your first time trying to insert one. Your vagina will be wet then and the tampon will go up easier. Just take a deep breath and then insert it. You shouldn't be afraid to really stick it up there. It can only go so far. Your vagina is not this endless hole that leads to other random places in your body. You shouldn't be forceful when inserting a tampon, but don't be extremely timid about it either or it will not end up where it needs to be.

I hope this helped. Good luck!

You need to relax more - or get used to tampons by using the mini, preferably slimline ones first. Super plus are hard to get in! Also, you could try lubing the tube with a bit of KY - always helps!

75% of women do not die from tampons. So funny.

If that were the case there'd be all sorts of Public Service announcements.

"What are these Sarah?!"
"Mom! They're not mine! I'm just holding them for a friend!"

And yeah it just sounds like you need a lighter tampon. If you're concerned about it not working well enough, wear a pad as well until you're convinced you've found the right flow.

I don't use the super/super-plus tampons for this reason and, unless you have a really heavy flow removal can be painful. Don't worry if it doesn't go all the way up. If you're young/petite, half-way is far enough. Also make sure you insert & remove at an angle pointing towards your lower back. I think the tampax sport are the most comfortable, and if you just started having your periods you will most likely only need to use lites/regulars. Hope this helps

Just use regular size tampax. Super plus are way too large. Even if you have a very heavy period just use the super size ones.

I am a regular user and the trick is to put one foot on toilet and push to the back as the womb is not directly up but at a angle and you have a muscle that is tight which you gently push through, it get easier so just keep trying.

okay....
1.DO NOT USE A TAMPON...the chemicals that they shove up your body are sooooooooo harmful....3/4 women die every year from tampons...just stick with pads...i started 2 years ago..tampons won't help

use playtex sport.
only when swimming,

and switch to pads.

well..someones a bit...umm...nevermind.
