You're correct, it's not supposed to smell. Any discolouration or bad odor to your discharge is a bad sign. Discharge in itself is fairly normal, it's the inner working of the vagina's self cleaning mechanism, and discharge is it expelling the bad stuff. If your discharge is discoloured or foul smelling, it could be one of several things.
Many women suffer changes in their discharge due to sickness, and the body's hormonal and chemical imbalances that take place during a flu or a cold, or most types of illnesses. It could be an STD if you're sexually active, or you could have an infection. Either way, it's best to go to your doctor or your gyno to get it checked out, or even discuss it with them to find a solution. Best of luck. (:
I really don't know what type of discharge doesn't smell. Any discharge and you need to go to a doctor. You probably have a vaginal infection. Good luck with that.
Any smell with a discharge is a sign of infection. If you have had unprotected sex recently you may have caught a STD if not it will just be one of the common infections that females are susceptible to. Either way get it checked at the docs.
