okay firstly dont get ahead of yourself!!
yeah cystitis (burning sensation when you pee) is very common is sexually active women, more commen then you think,to the point where you can actually just get medicine for it over the counter in most chemists.
well done on gettin an appointment, its always good to be on the safe side, but as for std's most of them have very little obvious symptoms which is why most go undetected for so long!
it isnt deadly but if left for years can cause infertility but look i honestly wouldnt worry, just continue with the drinking of lots of water and im sure you ll be okay
good luck =)

I have never had clymidia but im sure when you were in health class they told you symptoms and how to treat it. No you cant die from it. You can become infertile if you dont take care of it. And yes it is common for girls who just started to become sexually active to get a bladder infection. Remember to pee after intercourse everytime.

bladder infections hurt alot and you didnt complain about pain so i dont think you have one

btw, your headline was rude and unnecessary

i dont think that you have that std i think u just have a regular old bladder infection just keep doing what your doing and go to the doctor and see if u can get some tips! i do not that that it is deadly its pretty simple to treat if caught early!

Check out chlamydia on the internet for symptoms. For future reference, as soon as you think you are getting a bladder infection, get in to your doctor for medication. I have never had one myself but my mom gets them a lot and I can see from her how awful they are. She gets in to the doctor at the first sign of one and only really suffers for a day or two.

Over the counter medications do not heal bladder infections...it is an infection...you need antibiotics. They will only mask the symptoms for a short period of time. Yes, bladder infections are common after rough sex. Sex pushes bacteria in to your urethra and if you do not urinate with in half an hour of having sex, your chances of developing a bladder infection are high.

If your boyfriend doesn't have chlamydia, what makes you think you have it? No, you will not die from it, it is perfectly treatable. If left untreated however, you could develop pelvic inflamatory disease which could lead to infertility. Call your doctor and tell her you need to get in right away. Tell her that you have a horrible bladder infection and you can not deal with it any longer.

Yes, you get bladder infections if you are sexually active. Go potty as soon after intercourse every time. It cuts down on it.
Chlamydia is a burning discharge, that is often yellowish brown in color and has an odor, with plenty of itching and no it isn't deadly, although you can be sterilized by it if it goes on long enough without treatment.
Bladder infections also can cause lower back pain or pain in your groin area.
Glad your going to the Dr. you need to.

I started getting bladder infections every other month when I became sexually active. I had one after another, and my bladder got so enflamed that now I"m on medication to keep the muscles from spazzing out and making me go every two seconds.

If you have not been with anyone who has or had chlamydia, then you shouldn't have it.

Here is what I got from CDC.gov:

"In women, the bacteria initially infect the cervix and the urethra (urine canal). Women who have symptoms might have an abnormal vaginal discharge or a burning sensation when urinating. When the infection spreads from the cervix to the fallopian tubes (tubes that carry fertilized eggs from the ovaries to the uterus), some women still have no signs or symptoms; others have lower abdominal pain, low back pain, nausea, fever, pain during intercourse, or bleeding between menstrual periods. Chlamydial infection of the cervix can spread to the rectum."

As with any major disease, there can be complications and consequences, but from what I gather, chlamydia can't result in death, but rather in infections and lack of fertility.

The doctor will probably tell you that you just have a bladder infection.

I have had both and its not Clymidia for sure....Chlymidia really doesnt give you signs and UTI does right away. You should definately get that checked out because only meds will cure that. and you know do the usual wipe good...go to the bathroom after sex and drink lots of water and cranberry juice no pop! And yes bladder infections are very common even to girls who arent sexually active its just bacteria that most women will get...just sitting in a tub or hot tub can get you that. be caredul and safe always....good luck and hope you feel better.

i know that im not a girl or anything but i just took a class on std's and you clymidia could be deadly but there is a cure for it and since this an early symptom, it is very treatable...also if you are just doin it with one guy, and he got tested then thats fine but there are other ways to get it other then sex...oral sex can give you it and dirty toilet seats can....and the symptom that you have it is probly a urinary tract infection....if you dont pee after sex then you can easily get this...its not an std and its only deadly if untreated for years....if you do have this then they will probly give you antibiotics at the hospital and you could be out of school/work for 1-2 weeks.....good luck huN!

When a girl becomes sexually active there is a lot of 'friction' and pressure down there, and that causes what is called 'honeymoon cystitis' ... it's quite common, and you should not worry, since you say your boyfreind doesn't have clamydia and you must have sex with a person to catch it. What you need to do is STOP taking the cranberry pills, and just drink at least 64 ounces of water every day (pure water from the tap will do) and go to the doctor. Do not worry, if you do have an infection (it could be the 'cranberry pills' that are causing your distress) the doctor will give you an antibiotic and a uterine pain reliever and you'll be 'well' again in two weeks, maximum. After this, if you feel pain or need to go frequently or both, DO NOT DO ANYTHING but start drinking lots of water and go to the doctor as soon as possible. There are many things that have similar symptoms, and cranberry juice usually doesn't work on bladder infections ... it's for kidney infections and those hurt in the lower back and you are extremely ill ... you'd have to go to the ER, not wait for an appointment with your doctor ... and even then you should water the cranberry juice down by 50% (add the same amount of water to the juice before drinking) to be 'safe' from what may 'seem' like an infection but is just 'irritation' due to drinking too much juice or taking too many pills.

yes, when i first became sexually active i got this all the time, its called honeymoon cystitis and its where you urethra can flare up from sexual bruising, the more experienced you become the less this will happen so don't worry.

i understand your preface, and i don't think it was rude.

the clap is not (unless never treated) a deadly disease, and highly/ treatable cureable if treated soon. You need more education before you start having sex... and you need to have body fluid isolation if you do not trust your partner. bladder infections are hard to get rid of sometimes. you have to take some kind of anti boitic in bad cases, and this is prolly a good time to consider getting a well woman physical.

I don't know what Chlamydia feels like, but like most STDs, I don't think there is a lot of pain involved until advanced stages. However, I have had bladder and kidney infections and they can be very painful. They will only improve with antibiotics because they are caused by a bacterial infection. It won't go away on it's own. Cranberry juice and AZO tablets will help, but they won't cure it. Go to the doctor and get some medication, you will feel better in a day or two. It is very common for women to get bladder infections when they become sexually active or increase their activity due to an increase in bacteria in the vagina. Hope this helps!

Clamydia (SP?) is no laughing matter! Not sure if it's deadly, but it can certainly lead to infertility if un-treated!
Here's my story...I was once dating an army man stationed in Germany (I am in CA) and we were supposedly "exclusive" and were supposed to be married.. About three weeks after his leave I noticed heavy cramping, and a dark brown discharge that I'd never experienced before. I suppose you could call it bladder infection symptoms...either way, it was uncomfortable and just an all around "icky" feeling. Felt to me a lot like pregnancy symptoms, But my gut told be differently. He was still on leave, and I remember telling him "either I'm pregnant, or something's really wrong with me" A week later, after he'd left, I went to the Dr. and found out I had Clamydia!! After months of questioning him, he finally admitted to being a frequent fan of Amsterdam's "red light district"....horrible horrible feeling, and yes, I've used a condom with every other man I've been with since him..."in love" or not, up until my husband...who was tested and tested again upon my request!
