IUD-Mirena vs Paraguard?!
Question: f you've used Paragard or Mirena, What are the side effects? Was there any spotting? Did you gain weight? If so how much? I am also debating which to get because of the cost.. Opinions? Help?

Well, I haven't had an IUD, just because the thought of something inside of my uterus all the time, freaks me out! LOL! But seriously, the women I've seen love the IUD (both the Mirena and Paragard). Some women don't have periods the entire time they have either IUD. Neither cramping or BTB (breakthru bleeding). While other women have periods with theirs, some have pelvic pain and others just don't want it 5 or 10 years. Another side effect of having either IUD, is that they can perforate (poke a hole) in the uterus and migrate outside in your pelvic cavity. Which will then result in you having surgery.
Since everyone is different, you may not have any side effects at all. Either way you go, it'll be a good investment (and you won't have to worry about taking a pill for birth control either!). I hope this helps! Good luck!
