Stupid question: Is there anyway I can ''provoke'' my period?!

Question: I haven't had my period in 54 days, now in itself that is not a problem because I'm always irregular, sometimes it takes 21 days sometimes 60, plus I have been totally inactive in the last few weeks and I gained weight (don't know how much, but my jeans are a bit tighter than usual). I am not pregnant, that I am 100% sure.

It's just that I'm going to Egypt pretty soon and the last thing I want to have to worry about there is my period, especially considering the stigma women face there about it and the sanitary conditions there. And so the question is: Is there anyway I can ''provoke'' my period?

Have you seen a doctor? Thats very irregular, but as you know some women just are!
If the irregularity becomes a problem, which is sounds like it is, a contraceptive pill should help get you back into a more regular pattern. Should also help with painfull periods too.

Uh no! You need to see a doctor before this "Egypt" trip.

O_o Huh???...

Yes, there is. But you have to start taking the pill. Not only will the pill help you know when the period will come (always on time!) it gives you the ability to *skip* one if you need to. Or, if you get one and would like it to stop- you just start taking the hormone pills again.

No, you can't provoke your period.
You can regulate it though so it always starts on the same day every month.

Talk to your doctor about medications you can take. Birth control in particular is great at regulating your cycle. Your docotor will be able to outline some other options for you as well. Make an appointment.

GO TO THE DOCTORS

I have heard that making a tea out of Parsley actually works good to "bring on" a menstrual period.
Some people try to use this tea to bring on an early abortion, too.

It could be worth a try.

Call it a stupid, no-account, lazy, stubby period! Attack its self-esteem and make it give in to anger! UNLEASH THE CRIMSON TIDE!

(Too many donuts this morning. o__0;;;)
