No! I have read articles that say exercising does help. However from personal experience of severe cramping I can say that the best thing is lots of bed rest and hot water bottle or heating pads. If the cramps are severe consider going to see you doctor and getting something stronger of a pain medication that over the counter stuff like Advil or Motrin.

yes

yes, exercise does help! Do some lower ab exercises too, along with other stuff.

Yes, it generally does. My favorite thing to do was a back bend. I'd stand with my back to a wall, lean back and put my hands over my head, then walk my hands as far down the wall as I could. I'd then walk my hands back up the wall. Honestly, the first time I ever did this I felt something "rip" or "pop" inside me, and I never had cramps again the rest of my menstruating years...

I do squats, which targets your lower body, they really relieve my cramps, its hard to believe but they do!
