It actually depends on your size. if you are a heavy woman the pill will be out of your body sooner and it is important that you take it at the same time every day. if you are smaller you can vary times a bit, you needn't be so stringent about it.

Read the pamphlet which comes with your Rx.

Different oral contraceptives give varying instructions regarding a "missed day."

Use the prescribed pregnancy prevention techniques until you are safe again.

Always remember: contraceptives do not prevent the transmission of STD's.

Enjoy sexual activities in a committed, monogamous, married relationship for maximum enjoyment and safety.

Within a few hours I think would be fine. But more than 24hours is not good. But I wouldn't gamble.Take it at the same time everyday.Especially if you are using it for birth control.

I set an alarm on my cellphone for 9:30 every night.I never forget it now!

12/18/24 hours, it depends, read the instructions that came with it
30 mins or 2 hours would be fine, it probably wouldn't affect it at all, if you do miss a day or forget to take it, you just take it as soon as possible and carry on as normal..do NOT take 2 at once...
xxxxxxx

i took my pills when ever i remembered too and never got pregnant. and i took the for 9 years. i think the timing is to help you with remembering to take the pill. you shouldn't get pregnant by not taking it at a certain time, however, if you miss one then id use caution. keep in mind that some pills are neutralized by some medications like antibiotics, and some antihistamines. be careful, not taking on the same time is not threatening, forgetting to take them is where the problem lies.

switch your BC to nuvaring. Than you dont have to worry about ever taking a pill too late. It is one thing less to worry about. I love it, better than any other kind out there. I highly reccomend it.

when i was on bc i used to take it at all different times, but most doctors will give you about an hour time bracket. you can take it either an hour before or an hour after you "actual" time you usually take it.
this prevents the chance of accidental pregnancy due to misuse (even though i never got pregnant from taking the pill at weird times.
ps: if i would take the pill too late from my original time it would cause me to start my period early, so watch for that too, because it sucks.

I have always been told take it within 15 minutes, 30 minutes at the very latest. Any longer than that and you can get pregnant.

Pick a good time to take your pill. I take mine every morning at 8:30. I find that's a good time because I'm never up before that so when my alarm goes off, I take my pill and either go back to sleep or start the day.
I keep a bottle of water, my pills and my cell phone for alarm on the stand beside my bed. It works for me, I've never missed a pill or taken one late.

well at least you're good at taking it around the same time... I've been REALLY forgetting BAD! :(
