Cramping And BV?!

Question: I have bacterial vaginosis that has been treated, but it keeps coming back.

Right now I'm having terrible cramps in my right side and there's a fishy odor coming out of my vagina, but I douche and it goes away.

I think I'm about to start my period. I haven't had one in like 4 months which isn't unusual for me. Before I had BV I could go months and months without a period. These cramps are awful because it feels like someone is twisting my left ovary...gross.

I have no medical insurance so going to a doctor won't be an option for another month until I can buy some. I have a job. Any idea what's going on with me? I'm 20 yrs old.

i am in the exact same boat. i even have figured out that the brown watery discharge ive been having only started after my antibiotic treatment for BV so it must have came back. I've had cramping now too. check with the hospitals and see if they have clinics. i know there are county clinics or check with planned parenthood. ive checked around alot on the net about BV and all of them say dont douche!

HELLO ! First of all, if you have any problem with bacteria, what in the world are you doing douching? Only your dr can tell for sure, there could be a couple of things going on with you, BV could be back, ovaries could be turning or there could be infection, a bladder infection or urinary tract infection could be your problem, I'm guessing its probably a urinary infection, any of the above would need medication prescribed by your dr.. One thing that might help an urinary infection would be to drink alot of water and cranberry juice. Left untreated, you could end up in ER. I hope this helps !
