How are women's dress sizes calculated?!

Question: If one wanted to know how many dress sizes they've gone down, do you count every size including the sizes in between sizes that don't actually exsist? i.e. from size 18 to 12, there are not 17's,15's, rarely any 13's. hope I didn't confuse, thanx!

no u just go by the ones we actually use, so if ur a 16 and u drop to a 12 then uve lost 2 dress size's, hope this helps

Go by how many inches you lost(or cm)Dress sizes are so infrequently the same.One size you wear for one company,will not be the same for another.So just measure inches you lost!Much more exciting anyways!
