Why do people use different birth control methods as opposed to condoms? Isn'!
Question: Why do many people prefer to use birth control pills with hormones, patches or sponges for birth control?
I mean, to each their own, but I would think they would be a lot messier methods than using a condom, which is, ahem.. contained.
This seems especially true with the sponge since you'd have to remove it "mess intact".. Sounds unpleasant to me.
Background, I'm married and just use condoms right now. I've used birth control in the past for my skin and regulating my period since I had heavy bleeding and terrible cramps.. But I dislike taking pills and the hormones generally disagreed with me.
We also use condoms because we feel they are safer than simply a spermicide, and also, a lot less messy..

Honestly there is something in sperm that boosts women's mood/endorphins. And really I find the sex better this way. Once we used the pull and pray method and I felt unsatisfied. Sure its a little messy but whats a quick hop into the shower? Besides I find the whole business of stopping to put on a condom a bit of a mood killer. Also Ive been on the shot, the pill and had a IUD and never had a scare. Had a couple using condoms though.

Simply put, "messier" feels Sooooo much better. Besides, if you love your significant other, you just deal with a little mess. Frankly, if STD's aren't an issue, and you want the best feel, with little or no clean-up, go with lambskins!
