My friend always beats her self down!!!! help!?!


Question: My best friend is so pretty, she has a unique sortof model looking face and she is about 5'7 5'8 and skinny, she is constantly saying that she is fat, never going to get a boyfriend has an ugly face, big mouth etc...basically anything bad that you could say abut yourself..she's said it. I keep telling her that she is so skinny and pretty and she just says "shut up stop lying cause you obviously are" she is like one of the skinniest people out of our friends..im scared shes gunna go anorexic or something! i really like spending time with her but it gets so fking (sry) annoying sometimes like i just wanna say STFU (sry again lol)

what should i do?

She has Anorexia. It seems to me thats how it is. You'll get nowhere by yelling at her, because that will only make her think she's right.
What a girl like that needs is gentle comfort and someone to learn on. She needs to be calmly told that she's wrong every time she says something like that. Be kind to her. She'll really need help one day soon. Also, it's your job as her friend to keep her from hurting herself, and making sure she's eating right and taking care of herself.

Your friend just might be fishing for compliments. She says these things just to hear people say "no your pretty or your thin." Next time don't say anything when she says those things. Your feeding into her madness.
