I actually wouldn't do either, and here's why. Hair is there for a reason. It protects against infections and I know it can be unsightly, but I would take a hair trimmer to it to clean it up... but that's it. Shaving/waxing is irritating to the skin... HOWEVER, if you still really want to completely remove all hair, I would wax. It's a smoother process and you won't be so itchy.

WAX

you should wax....shaving is not such a good idea for down there.

shave it because waxing hurts

Wax. Doesn't leave in growing hairs and you don't get that annoying rash.

Wax for sure!

If you decide to shave, make sure you use shaving cream and shave against the hair to prevent ingrown hairs. Be very careful so you dont nick your delicate parts ( I have it hurts like hell and takes forever to heal). Waxing is nice too, but you have to be willing to let it grow out in between waxes so sometimes youll have stubble, if you shave you can do it as often as you like.

well, i shave as its less pain, but i sometimes wax, an your hairs take twice as long to come back, just if u shave an u want to stay baldy you wil have to shave just about every day-ishh.. well evry 3 days

but i'd say waxn is the best!!

mwa xx

I am a guy and i had to shave my gootch (area between Penis and butt crack) because they always got pulled in wrestling practice and i do NOT suggest it. afterwords little stubbles scratched my legs like crazy. even though i have just sickened every body and made about 2 or 3 people throw up....i suggest you 1. do not shave it 2. if you insist upon having no pubic hair i would wax it 3. dont cut yourself

everyone relax!
its only a question, and why cant you ask a personal question on y/a? you all probably do too! its not like anyone knows her here

im sorry but you couldnt pay me to wax thats just insane i would not purposely put myself in that much pain lol

For silky smooth feeling, first shave using olive oil. This prevents bumps and prepares for the next step. After shaving you wax. After complete, cover with a warm towel for 15 minutes. Remove towel and feel how smooth.

I know everyone is saying wax, personally that is too painful lol I use veet hair removing mousse and as long as you are careful that none actually 'enters' where it shouldn't, you have no broken skin and you follow the instructions you can be as bald as you like! Sometimes I use a specially designed electric razor. It is made for ladies to groom their undercarriage, although I have seen my other half using it as a b eard trimmer ... if only he knew lol

At the end of the day it is down to personal choice. If you really want to shave it, why not ask your partner to do it for you and have some fun while you're at it!!

xx

depends on how much pain tolerance you have :)
I would recommend shaving, but if you do that make sure that you shave in the direction the hairs go or you will get ingrown hairs!

waxing lasts longer but it is painful and very uncomfortable, especially your first time. it can also be quite embarrising, you can do it yourself but it never really works. if you have never shaved that area before you can use hair removal cream, it doesnt hurt and doesnt take that long. the first set of cream takes away the majority of the hair but you should do it twice to remove all the hair, and you can do it yourself. you can by the cream in most chemists and also boots and superdrug etc. shaving is something you can do yourself as well, privately. just be careful, it is a sensitive area and it is a little sore it you cut it. pull the skin taught and shave with the hair not against it. this way it removes the hair and doesnt cut. it is easier to do it in the bath and using a mirror helps so you can see what you are doing.
hope this helps

i think you shud wax because if you shave it might leave stubble and it will sting a lot because i shaved mine and it really stung afterwards so get it waxed

ok, first off, you don't shave your "vagina" the part that has the pubic hair is the vulva, or outer labia. the vagina is the actual canal that connects to your uteris.

Second, it depends on what outcome you're looking for. I've done both. if you're wanting insanely smooth, then thats waxing, or sugaring(not as harsh, yet still extremely painful.) I've found that the area is always extrememly sensitive, so it is going to be red and irritated for 2-3 days. then you'll be good for the next two weeks. finally, you do have to let the hair grow out to about 1/4" to have the best effect on repeat waxings.

Shaving is good for, like, right now results. but the next day is really stubly, usually. can also cause ingrown hairs, if you shave against the grain of the hair folicle.

I would suggest, based off of several magazine articles I've read recently, is to not go all the way bald. trim up. Also, Noxema makes these cute mini razors that are perfect for the areas you can't see. they have a guard on them that will make sure it is really hard to cut yourself.

(and also, you can't do both, as for someone else who's commented. if you shave first, it doesn't leave anything for the wax to stick to except your skin.)

well, i have been shaving for a while, but i always get these irritating red bumps when they start to grow back in. so i'm going to get a professional bakini wax, and if you want info about that, here's a question i recently asked about brazilian waxing, if it'll help:

Don't.

Im a guy nor have I ever removed my pubes. But I do know one thing is if you wax the first few times will hurt real bad, but then the nerves on the hairs become desensitized so about ur 5th time it wont hurt. With waxing there will be no ingrown hairs (which could look like herpies) and no itch.

Thats why women who get waxed in movies dont scream cause the hairs desenitized.

WTF!!!!!!!

why would u say such a question like this
isnt it supposed to be personal!!
anyways i think u should wax it....k
anyone could see ur asking ?(question)
