Should I buy Plan B?!

Question: I started spotting this morning and I'm about a week early for my period (my period is always within a week of the 28 days it's due). My boyfriend and I had sex and he ejaculated in me. I know it wasn't a smart move and I'm concerned. I have cramps and I'm still spotting. Should I be concerned even if my period goes on as normal? Should I buy Plan B? And where can I buy Plan B without a prescription?

Please don't lecture me on the whole "why it's important to use protection"...I know I wouldn't be worrying if I had done so. Just real, advice and answers to my questions. Thanks!

You do not need a prescription to get Plan-B. Just go to your drug store and buy it.

I heard that you can go to you local hospital to get that . Perhaps your family dr. or planned parenthood can direct you

Plan B is effective up to 72 hours after sex. It is also available over the counter. The spotting could be implantation bleeding which would not be affected by Plan B.

Something similar happened to me, and I did get Plan B. I wasn't on birth control at the time, so I took it just to be safe. The sooner you take it after sex, the better chances you have of it preventing an unwanted pregnancy. If you do decide to get it, there's a bunch of places you can go to get it online- mine was a bit costly though. However, the side effects aren't so great. I threw up three times the day or so after I took it, and I spotted really heavy the week after I took it and then had a very light period which just made me worry more. I'm glad it worked, but it isn't something I'd want to do again.
