infection

It may be infected.
Go to the dermatologist and they will help you out.
You'll have to stop wearing earrings and maybe get a prescription.

yes.. you need to clean it out thoroughly this may help

peroxide it, it happens every all the time to mine had them peirced for years, anyone with peircings know that they smell after a while, sometime you can even squeeze crap out of it that smells no NASTY lol

It's infected, you need to clean it with ear solution or hydrogen perioxide 3+ times a day for 5-7 days, then once a day for at least a few weeks to make sure it's gone- don't stop as soon as symptoms are gone, could easily come back.

It's probably an infection. Clean it thoroughly every day, if it persists go to the doctor. Also it may be you are allergic to the material the earring is made out of

put the earring in and then soak your lobes in iodine.

clean it with rubbing alcohol and or peroxide.and put some ointment on it.*

My friend got her ears done at claires..
Idk WHY you would trust such a cheap store with something like a piercing..
anyway it turned to crust and green
she was screaming trying to remove it. Her mom was helping her

...Id say its an infection...no it IS an infection.
Ear infections [and im not a professional] arent really that much of a big deal and can go away quickly.
I would take out the piercing
And put that liquid they give you to clean your ear after you get it done
take a qtip rub it on

If you can put it back in just wash the piercing so its completely clean
...make sure that its made of something thats sterile or a substance your not allergic to

yea..just clean it.
take it out. wash it.
Put it back in when it stops hurting

That would be an infection. You should go to your doctor and see if they can give you a medicated wash to clean it with. That is why you need to go to a reputable piercer and not do it yourself. If you do not treat the infection it could get very bad, so please don't try to cure it yourself.

wound + bad smell = infection.

soak a cotton wool pad in some dilute antseptic (eg TCP) and fold it over your ear lobe. hold it there for at least 20 mins.

the liquid is the wound trying to heal.

make sure when you next put earings in, they are hypoallergenic and have plastic backers, as the nickel in most metal earrings is a bad irritant to alot of people, and will continue to irritate the area so it doesn't get a chance to heal. You should really have used these as soon as you pierced your ears, and left them in place for at least 2 weeks.

Sounds like an infection--the smell, the liquid----

do this & -fast-- treatment----dab rubbing alcohol on it, then, use hydrogen peroxide...it will bubble up w/ the infection...let air dry, then dab Bactine on or such a product.

Keep repeating the procedure...you need all 3 products. (Rubbing Alcohol/Hydro Peroxide/Bactine---let each product air dry)....but do this treatment at least 3xs a day. Get going before the infection spreads into your blood....please.

If it is red and sore as well I'd suggest calling your doctor but if it is just the smell then head to a place like Claires and buy the ear cleaning solution. It isn't all that expensive and has a better mix of cleaners and antiseptics then just plain old alcohol and/or peroxide. You should also not be taking the earring out at all for over 6 weeks, shouldn't be playing with them and should be cleaning twice a day (always after a shower and not before) by soaking a cotton ball in the solution and using it to slowly move the earring front and back about 10 times to get the solution into the hole, then rotate the whole earring just a little (with each cleaning). I'd also go with a gold or better earring.

clean the hole and the stud two times daily with sea salt mixed with warm water it will kill off any infection which will also help with the smell .. peroxide isn't good because its rough on raw skin and can cause it to take more time healing a good product to use would be h2ocean if you don't want to mix the water and sea salt

it is normal. ear piercings smell weird. it is not infected. take your earrings out every day and clean the earring and your hole. with the earring in your hole sweats and gets dirty since it is plugged up the dirt cant get out. do not clean the hole with peroxide or rubbing alcohol. that is bad for it.
