Answers: serious question asked by my bf...

hormonal changes--
tell him it's like someone hiding the remote from him

chemical imbalances when estrogen and progesteron are fluctuating.

not sure just happens...just tell him to try having a period see if he like it...p.s. i am PMSing

How happy would you be to know that in a day or so that you'll be bleeding heavily for 3-5 days?! That's enough to make anyone grouchy!
No, actually it's the hormones that tell the woman's body that there is no baby in there and that it is time to expel the uterine lining to get ready for next month. Also, many women have trouble sleeping during this time, may have muscle pain, etc all things that can lead to a grouchy attitude.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh....I'm sorry but he will never understand. Point.
He might use his rational intelligence but not the emotional one. Give up on that!

During PMS, there are a ton of different hormones going crazy in your body trying to get everything ready to make you have a period. Those hormones can also do things like make your boobs swell and get sore, make you a little sleepy, and other things that just leave you feeling kinda blah. Those hormones can also sometimes affect your brain too, so even if all the other physical stuff going on doesn't suck already, those hormones will still make you feel crappy.

fortunately, it isn't this bad for everyone, and in some cases it isn't even as bad for the same person month to month. But there's a lot going on inside your body during those few days, and it takes a lot out of you.
