Sometimes when i'm really really tired.....?!

Question: i wanna go to bed without brushing my teeth or washing my face. then in bed i can't stop thinking about the fact i didn't brush my teeth or wash my face and i can't sleep.. so i end up having to get up and do it.. even when i'm dead tired!!!

is it really as gross as i think it is to miss it ONCE or am i being too much??

yeah I think you are. Try to make it a routine to just wash your face and brush you teeth before bedtime or before you are tired.

It's not that gross to miss it once, but it's always better to do it! :)

the more you do it.. the more you'll get use to getting up and doing it

I'm like you. I have to follow a tooth brushing routine before going to sleep (Floss, brush, and mouthwash) and I have to take a shower. I think your fine.

OCD obsessions are repeated, persistent, unwanted ideas, thoughts, images or impulses that you experience involuntarily and that appear to be senseless. These obsessions typically intrude when you're trying to think of or do other things.

Typical OCD obsessions revolve around:

Fear of contamination or dirt
Repeated doubts
Having things orderly and symmetrical
Aggressive or horrific impulses
Sexual images
OCD symptoms involving obsessions may include:

Fear of being contaminated by shaking hands or by touching objects others have touched
Doubts that you've locked the door or turned off the stove
Repeated thoughts that you've hurt someone in a traffic accident
Intense distress when objects aren't orderly, lined up properly or facing the right way
Images of hurting your child
Impulses to shout obscenities in inappropriate situations
Avoidance of situations that can trigger obsessions, such as shaking hands
Replaying pornographic images in your mind
Dermatitis because of frequent hand washing
Skin lesions because of picking at the skin
Hair loss or bald spots because of hair pulling
Compulsions
Compulsions are repetitive behaviors that you feel driven to perform. These repetitive behaviors are meant to prevent or reduce anxiety or distress related to your obsessions. For instance, if you believe you ran over someone in your car, you may return to the scene over and over because you just can't shake your doubts. You may even make up rules or rituals to follow that help control the anxiety you feel when having obsessive thoughts.

Typical compulsions revolve around:

Washing and cleaning
Counting
Checking
Demanding reassurances
Repeating actions over and over
Arranging and making items appear orderly
OCD symptoms involving compulsions may include:

Washing hands until the skin becomes raw
Checking doors repeatedly to make sure they're locked
Checking the stove repeatedly to make sure it's off
Counting in certain patterns

thats not gross at all.alot of people dont brush their teeth or wash their face at all.nothing will happen.your probally used to doing that but theres nothing wrong with wanting to stay clean

I'm the same, now I just force myself to do it beforehand.

Rachel McAdams got voted for the most beautiful skin, and in response to that, she said that until she was around 23, she would not wash her face regularly at night. With that being said, I have clean, clear skin and often times I sleep with my make-up on and wash my face in the shower in the morning. It's very natural.

Well its good that you get the urge to get up and do it. Its not GROSS to miss it once in a while, but keeping in the habit is important and you should.

well, i miss brushing my teeth at night once in a while. i feel weird and dirty if i don't brush my teeth in the morning! i have to at least do that!

first off you don't have OCD! k ha
and I'm the same I gotta take a shower b4 I sleep or I feel all yucky same with my teeth u should shower @ night so u can wash ur face then and when your tired u just need to brush your teeth that's what I do cuz putting the water on your face would wake u up again
