Oh dang, underweight?!

Question: I just checked my BMI,
I'm 16, I weigh about 105 on average.
I'm about 5'5-5'6

I've been in sports since middle school,
I eat alot. And I mean alot when I want lol.
Track and Field is my work out, so I have a toned stomach,
my ribs don't show or anything.

But I know I'm still underweight.
What can I do?
Is it bad that i'm underweight even if I look heathly?

You can enter the Miss Washington pageant. You can go into modeling. You can walk around the Mall to make all the fat ones jealous. Or you could relax and enjoy life. There is nothing wrong with you. The range on the bmi is +- 5-7 pounds. You are not underweight.

I think as long as you eat right, its fine. You probably just have a fast metabolism =)

if you are happy with the way you look then don't change. If you really want to put on weight try drinking protein shakes that build mass and add weight.

You are at least 10 lbs. less than your minimum healthy weight! If you are that athletic and muscular, how can it not show? Have you looked at your back? Do your hip bones stick out? Ideal weight for you is about 125, minimum 115. I would recommend you gain at least 10 and see where you are at that point, you're dangerously thin right now. Drink milkshakes once or twice a day in addition to your normal food, and you'll put the weight on.

had the same problem except i never worked out and every one would always tell me that i looked anorexic i hated it it didnt matter how much i ate i stayed the same its probable your metabolism

It sounds like you have high metabolism, like me. I've been the same weight for about 8 years. I can eat alot of food and not gain any weight.

Based on the teen BMI you're a healthy weight

chels,
you're fine.
as long as you weigh as much as you feel comfortable, and i can tell, you don't have any eating disorders or nothing.
you eat and all, you work out, tone body.
no need to worry bout nothing.

luv ya!!!
