After period discharge??!

Question: I've have light brown discharge after my period, that has turned into white milky dishcharge. I've researched and see that this can be a cause of BV (Bacteria Vaginosis).

However, I also read that this can be a cause of cervitiies (an infection of the cervix).

Can someone help me? Has this happened to you?

Is something I need to schedule an emergency appointment for?

I'm scared about it spreading, and not sure how long I may have had this, and reading all these medical websites makes me nervous and makes me think I have something else. I've had the same partner for the last 6 years, and tht's the only partner.

My doctor can't see me for another 11 days, is that too long?

Does it ever go away on it's own? How do you know it really went away and just isn't laying around in there?

I am sooooo worried, and just want to know how much longer I can do without treatment?

No worries...you SHOULD have the exact discharge you're describing. After your period, many - if not most - women have a light brown discharge because there is a tiny bit of old, brown blood mixed in with your discharge. And white, milky discharge is exactly the sort of discharge you should have after your period...some people have only a scant amount and some people have a lot...that's just a normal difference between women. If you have a FOUL odor..fishy or revolting...then you should be worried about bacterial vaginosis or an STD, but if you just have a normal woman's odor...all is well.

It's normal to have discharge after your period. However if you notice it has a unusual strong smell, itches, or burns you might want to go get it check.

i think your fine dont be so worried if your that worried go to a after hours os another doctor where they can see you soon
