Why do doctors & consultants?!

Question: think they have the right to perv on you when examining you ?

Answers: think they have the right to perv on you when examining you ?

Not come across this myself which is thankful because I often seem my GP out in the pub, but in general I would think that if they do then maybe they will carry on doing as long as they can get away with it until someone expresses a concern with them or the hierarchy. A job title doesn't give them the right to do it but they tend to abuse their authoritative appearance in this circumstance.

You're obviously meaning one in particular! My doctor is lovely - and female. If you have a problem with your GP, report them.

They dont. If they were conducting an intimate examination there should have been a chaperone present to make sure the doctor was acting in a professional manner. Whether the doctor is female or male an impartial chaperone should be present.

If you feel the doctor was acting unprofessionally, and they didnt offer you a chaperone you can take this up with the hospital as a formal complaint.

I've never found that they do or heard of anyone else saying that. You must be mistaken, paranoid, too assured of your own good looks or basing your opinion of all consultants on one experience.

I can assure you that very few doctor's find having to poke around inside anyone pleasurable, sure if a good looking young female walks in the door, they will probably think yea she's cute, but that's it, there are very few cases of doctors acting unprofessional towards females when conducting intimate examinations, it's prob your imagination or in alot of cases it is the patient that has a shine towards the doctor and creates in all in their head
