Jolessa... Huh??? (10pts best answer! plez)?!

Question: So I've been taking Yasmin for about two years. Recently I've gotten sick of my periods and I decided to switch to Seasonale. Unfortunately, I'm poor so all I could afford was the generic version, Jolessa. But I read on the pack that you can't open the blister pack until you are ready to take it immediately. I use a pill organizer, and I was wondering if it would be fine and it wouldn't make the pill less effective for preventing pregnancy? My bf is coming in two weeks, so I just wanted to know. Also, is it just as effective as regular birth control?

Generics are just as effective as the more expensive brand-name pills, such as Seasonale.

I don't know the specifics of the chemistry involved, but if it says not to expose the pill to air (open the pack) until you're ready to use it, best to follow that advice. Some pills will lose efficacy if exposed to air or light.
